COACH’S COMMENTS
“… All girls advanced to play in region tournament. Jessalyn Osborn made it to quarterfinals and had to face #2 seed from Belfry who she never quit against. Osborn got to balls that no one could have gotten to and never gave up she ended up winning 4 games against her lost and match 2-6 2-6 very proud of her hard work…Also making it to quarterfinals was in doubles Adrian Webb and Sheree Hay and it was a match against #4 and #5 seed and it was a great match. First match was 6-6 tie breaker we fell short 12-14 , second we won 6-4 then super tie breaker we fell short again 11-13. But again these girls never quit or gave up they played their hearts out as you can tell it was a very even match very exciting to watch. Adrian’s returns were strong and placement was awesome and Sheree attacked the net strong and had great placement of spikes just fell short on the win. So very proud of their hard work on court! Then in singles Katelyn Pauley made it to semi-finals who played an excellent semi finals round against #1 seeded girl who went on to win girls singles championship, Katelyn won first set 6-4 lost second set 2-6 then she took her to super tie breaker but fell short 5-10 again she never quit and played a consistent hard fought match and never gave up she returned serves and got to returns that others couldn’t have, very proud of her and all her hard work this season. Then in doubles championship Eden Webb and Maci Pollock for second year in row they won doubles championship 6-2 6-1 they were almost flawless throughout the match in the championship they beat the girls from Morgan county who had hadn’t lost a match all season. Eden’s serves were unbelievable, returns were strong with great placement and net spikes were little scary for the other team and Maci played with consistent returns that were strong and had great placement also very consistent on serving , I don’t think we lost a game on their serves these girls were very much in control super proud of them and of all these girls they worked hard all season to improve and none of them ever gave up no matter who their opponent was and finished strong.”
“… All 6 girls were seeded in tournament this year which shows how hard they have worked all year. Advancing to state are Katelyn Pauley in singles and Eden Webb and Maci Pollack in doubles.”
“… Just wanted to stress how all girls played great and super proud of all them they never gave up they all played their hearts out it took all wins to win team championship and they all played a part in that team win each girls win added up to give them more points then any other team in region to award them team champions.”
“…They are 15TH region tournament team champions and again I can’t say enough about how I am so proud of each and every one of them!”
