COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Very proud of our effort and the way that we came out. I thought we played with like our hair was on fire. We played with great joy and passion, thankful to come out with a win and injury free as far as I know. Martin County is a quality football team.”

“… Very proud of the fact that I felt like we got better from last week to this week especially on the defensive side and it certainly showed tonight. I felt like we did a good job making contact and tackled better. We worked on that this week and it showed up tonight. Very pleased with our team.”

“… The plan going into the second half was to rest the starters and to be completely honest we are not chasing stats, the clock was already running and we are trying to build our football team for success in November and to do that you have to be healthy. So we wanted to minimize the risk. And to get our young guys some work.”

“… Business as usual next week even though the trip will be longer and we are the second game that night we will get there a couple hours before game time and go through our normal routine. Garrard Co. is very similar to us in school size and Lancaster is a lot like Louisa.”
