Mark,
I have attached an executive order that closes the courthouse to the public starting today til November 30. As cases of Covid 19 are spreading throughout our county we have decided to take this precautionary step to help protect the public and the employees working in the courthouse. All offices will remain open during this time. We ask the public with business in one of the office’s located in the courthouse to call that office for instructions.

Here is the statement County Clerk Chris Jobe sent to inform the public on how to do business without entering courthouse:
Probably a good thing. Every time I was in there I had to wear a mask but all the employees in the courthouse are wondering around without a mask on. Seems kind of strange when your trying to keep Covid at bay.
Sheriff’s Office, too. No protection at all???
Closed to the public, doofus. The article clearly states all offices “will remain open”, meaning they will be performing their duties but the offices will be “closed to the public”. Geez, will you people ever learn to comprehend what you read?
Apparently you did not comprehend what the commenters where saying. They were speaking of the fact that those in the courthouse moved about without any protection and the second comment stated that the sheriff’s office did not have any PPE on either (no protection at all). Now who is the doofus?!
Agree with Masker. When we went to the Sheriff’s Office to pay our taxes, we were the only ones wearing a mask.
Anyone find it odd, Phil gives an order closing county offices to the public on the 13th, then has a Fiscal Court meeting on the 17th open to the public?
(Editor’s Note: The 17th meeting was on Zoom, not open to the public.)
Thank you editor, I did not see that in the article, or perhaps I overlooked it.
