Eastern, Ky. — Eli Fletcher hit two home runs and Boedy Maynard tossed a complete game as Lawrence Co. ( 13-9 ) beat Floyd Central 9-1 on Thursday.
Eli Fletcher blasted his 4th and 5th home runs at Floyd Central on Thursday.
Lawrence Co. pounded out 13 hits including two home runs from Eli Fletcher to capture the #1 seed in the upcoming 58th District tournament.
Boedy Maynard went all seven innings to earn his fifth victory of the season. Maynard allowed one run, gave up three hits, struck out nine and walked three.

Fletcher doubled and homered twice, had two runs batted in and scored two runs, Tygar Cavins had three hits including a double drove in three runs and scored twice, Gray Derifield had three hits and scored three runs, Logan Whisenant had three hits including a double, drove in one and scored one run, Colin Howard doubled and drove in a run, Brady Caudill had one RBI, CJ Whitt scored a run.

In a game that started on Tuesday in Louisa and finished on Thursday at Floyd Central the Jaguars upended the Bulldogs after trailing 3-0.
Braxton Davis suffered the loss tossing five innings, six runs, nine hits and striking out four Jaguars.
Logan Whisenant had six hits against Floyd Central in two games last week.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Tuesday when they host Wayne ( W. Va. ) at 6:00 and Johnson Central ( 17-7 ) on Wednesday at 6:00.
