LOUISA, KY. — The Lawrence County Cal Ripken League hosted Opening Day at Stella Moore Ballfields on Saturday, April 21, 2018. This year’s league has over 300 players ages 4-12. This year the league has the following divisions.
Over 300 kids, ages 4-12 participating
Baseball offers T- Ball, Rookie, Minor and Major league.
Softball offers Minor and Major league.

“… Opening Day was a huge success. This year we had to move the date back a week due to weather conditions.”
“… Thankfully, Opening Day had the perfect weather! It was so nice to see the fields full of smiling, energetic kids having fun and enjoying one another.”
“… Opening Day was sponsored by Pathways, Inc this year. Pathways gave away “ Bulldog “ themed water bottles along with red and black bouncy balls and also offered a photo booth and face painting.”

Youth Football to partner with Cal Ripken this year
The Lawrence County Youth Football League partnered with the Lawrence County Cal Ripken League and hosted its first sign up for the 2018 season and over 50 players and cheerleaders were signed up, as well as several scholarships given.
President of the Youth Football League, Tom Frazier, stated, “I am excited to partner with the baseball league this year. We are working together to provide kids a great opportunity for sports, learning and friendship.”
