COACH’S COMMENTS
“… We have hit a lot of doubles this year and I felt that the home runs would come and honestly with warmer weather that tends to happen. We do have guys in our lineup that can drive the ball out of the ball park. Are we gonna set and hit 30 or 40 as a team probably not. But we have a handful of guys that have plenty of power to do that.”
“… Three grand slams in two games is pretty wild to see. You know Abner Collinsworth got off to a slow start and now he is starting to lift balls and that is a good sign. Two years ago as a sophomore he displayed a lot of power and he had a good junior year but not that type of year and it’s good to see him drive the baseball.”
“… Colin Howard has been steady for us all year long and really has a good approach at the plate and has been solid all year long. And then Talan Pollack for him the baseball looks like a beach ball coming in there. He had his offensive struggles throughout his career but over the winter he really put in the work and made some significant changes and it’s good to see that come to fruition.”
“… Got a couple more games this week with Belfry and Shelby Valley and we always have some good ones with Belfry so that should be fun and Shelby Valley beat us last year so it will be a challenge for us the next two days.”
