Louisa, Ky. — The Lawrence Co. girls ( 10-12 ) defeated Morgan Co. 60-49 on Friday night behind 21 points from Freshman Jada Patton.

Patton was the leading scorer with 21 points, Sophie Adkins tallied 16 points, Maddie Artrip added 8 points, Caroline See netted 6 points, Emalynn Kitts chipped in with 5 points, Abby Maynard and Addison Bloomfield had 2 points each. 

The Lady Dawgs hit 7 three pointers and went 7 of 10 from the free throw line.

The Lady Dawgs had a couple opportunities to tie the game with three pointers but fell on the road. 

Sophie Adkins led the team in scoring with 23 points, Jada Patton and Abby Maynard had 4 points each, Caroline See and Maddie Artrip had 3 points each, Addison Bloomfield chipped in with 2 points and Gracie Woods had 1 point. 

Lawrence Co. hit 4 three pointers and went 10 of 12 from the free throw line. 

#5 Abby Maynard looks to pass. 

The Lady Dawgs will have Senior night Tuesday against Paintsville ( 9-16 ) and then host Raceland ( 17-10 ) to close out the regular season on Thursday night.

“…I’m proud of our girls for how we’re playing right now. We are hopefully figuring out some things heading into the last week of the season. We gotta keep working to get better with every opportunity we have.”
