LOUISA, KY. — Lawrence Co. Girls basketball is off to the best start in school history at 9-0 including 3-0 in 58th District play after two wins before Christmas over East Ridge on the road and District foe Betsy Layne at Home.

The Lady Dawgs beat the Lady Bobcats for the second time this season to sweep the regular season series.
Kensley Feltner tallied 19 points to lead the Bulldogs, Brooke Neal finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds, Lexi Ratliff had 11 points, Kelly Davis 6 points and 6 rebounds, Ellie Webb 6 points, Sheree Hay 5 points, Kyleah Ward 5 points and 5 rebounds, Kaison Ward 4 points, Kylie Maynard and Emilea Preece 2 points each.
LCHS hit 4 three pointers and went 12-21 from the line.
Lawrence Co. 41 East Ridge 36 ( Wednesday)
The Lady Dawgs made the long trek to Lick Creek and came away with a victory in a low scoring affair.
Lexi Ratliff was the only Lady Bulldog to finish in double figures with 14 points, Sheree Hay and Kensley Feltner had 8 points each, Kylie Maynard 4 points, Kelly Davis 4 points and 6 rebounds, Brooke Neal chipped in with 3 points.
LCHS hit 1 three pointer and went 12-23 from the line.
Lawrence Co. will participate in the Berea Holiday Classic beginning tomorrow at 5:00 vs Perry Co. Central. Other teams in the three day tournament are Danville, McCracken Co., Whitefield Academy, Knox Central, Clay Co. and Lexington Christian.
LCHS IS SCHEDULED TO PLAY PERRY CO. CENTRAL Thursday, December 27 at 5:00pm in the tourney.

“ …We are happy with how we’ve started the season. We had struggled a few games but played much better on Friday against Betsy Layne. We are excited to go to Berea and play against some really good competition. It will be a great experience for our girls.”
