Louisa, Ky. — Mother Nature caused a schedule change for the 7th Annual Lady Dawg classic. With the big time threat of heavy rain on Saturday the entire tournament was played on Friday with Johnson Co. Middle winning the championship. Boyd Co. finished second, Lawrence Co. Middle finished third, Vinson and Tolsia rounded out the tournament in 4th and 5th place respectively.
In the first game of the tournament Lawrence Co. raced by Tolsia 7-0, in game two it was a nail biter with Johnson Co. winning 2-0 over Vinson.
In game three it was Johnson Co. with another shutout win, this time over Vinson 2-0, Vinson came right back in game four to take out Tolsia 12-0. In game five it was Johnson Co. beating Lawrence Co. 4-0, in game six it was Boyd Co. over Vinson 3-2, and in game seven Boyd squeaked by Lawrence Co. 2-0, and in the last game of the night Johnson Co. beat Boyd Co. 2-0 for the championship to end a long day of softball that started at 4:15.
