KENTUCKY. (WFIE) – Kentucky State Police officials say they will be participating in Operation C.A.R.E.

According to a press release, KSP will be participating in Operation C.A.R.E. (Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort) from March 9-17, joining law enforcement agencies across the nation in a coordinated effort to improve roadway safety and reduce preventable crashes.

Organizers say Operation C.A.R.E. is designed to increase public awareness and enforcement aimed at dangerous driving behaviors that contribute to serious and fatal crashes.

During the campaign, KSP troopers will conduct enhanced patrols throughout the region, intended to remind drivers that safe driving decisions can save lives.

KSP encourages drivers to travel responsibly and remain aware during the upcoming spring travel season.
