KENTUCKY STATE POLICE ARREST MOTHER AND HER DAUGHTER ON DRUG CHARGES AFTER RAID SEARCH OF HOME IN PIKE COUNTY

ILLEGAL CONTRABAND SEIZED BY KENTUCKY STATE POLICE TROOPERS AFTER THEY ARRESTED TWO WOMEN, LETRICE MICHELLE HUNT, 41, & DESTINY HUNT, 19, ON FRIDAY, JUNE 9, AFTER ILLEGAL DRUGS WERE FOUND AT THEIR HOME IN THE HARDY COMMUNITY OF PIKE COUNTY, KY.
Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville, KY. announced that troopers arrested two women, a mother and her daughter, on Friday, June 09, 2023; after illegal drugs were discovered at a residence in the Hardy community of Pike County.
According to their report, KSP Post 9 troopers went to the Hardy, KY. home and began by conducting a “knock-and-talk” in connection with an active drug investigation at the home of Leatrice Michelle Hunt, 41, who was the subject of the investigation. When troopers spoke to her, she gave permission to search her, during which officers found 4 grams of heroin.
After the discovery, Leatrice Hunt allegedly admitted to having more heroin in her bedroom. Inside, police found three bricks of the drug weighing several pounds inside a safe, along with smaller quantities packaged for sale that were hidden in a boot. Leatrice Hunt’s daughter, Destiny Hunt, 19, who reportedly admitted to hiding the heroin in the boot.
While conducting a search of the home, approximately two pounds of suspected Fentanyl were seized. Additionally, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and approximately $25,000 in cash were seized from the residence.
