KSP EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANT OF HOME LEADS TO DRUG BUST JUST SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE DEATH OF THE TEENAGE DRIVER, TWO OTHER MINOR TEENS INJURED
On the afternoon of Thursday, December 28, 2023, troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 15 in Columbia, KY., which is in Adair County, executed a search warrant at a residence on Three Pines Road near the Bradfordsville community area of Marion County.
During the investigation of a fatal traffic accident that took place earlier Thursday morning, troopers gathered information leading to them obtaining a search warrant for a residence located on Three Pines Road in Marion County. KSP Troopers and Officers from the Campbellsville Probation and Parole Office executed the search warrant on the residence, for which Timothy Allen Bright, 47 of Bradfordsville, KY., resided at the residence. The search of the residence produced approximately 3 ½ ounces of suspected Cocaine,a large amount of Marijuana, and prescription medication pills. Also located during the search was a large sum of cash, multiple firearms, and drug paraphernalia.
Timothy Bright was arrested by the KSP and taken to and was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center in Lebanon, KY. Timothy Bright was charged with the following:
- TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 4 GRAMS COCAINE),
- TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 10 D.U. OPIATES),
- TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 20 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED),
- TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( LESS THAN 8 OZ.) 1ST OFFENSE,
- POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON,
- DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Timothy Bright is being held in the Marion County Detention Center on a $25,000 full cash bond on the drug charges, but that is nullified as he was denied bond due to a parole violation due to his current arrest.
Timothy Bright has a lengthy criminal record, with his latest legal troubles now makes 27 times he has been arrested in Marion County, on 52 felony, misdemeanor, and motor traffic charges since February 2000; with additional unidentified criminal arrest charges going back to the latter part of the 1990s; including a cocaine trafficking charge in August 2021, and cocaine possession in August 2015, along with more than half a dozen EPO/DVO violation charges.
Timothy Bright has his first court hearing appearance in Marion County District Court on Wednesday, January 3, at 8:30 A.M., followed by Timothy Bright will have a Parole Violation hearing the next day on January 4.
The drug bust investigation is ongoing by Trooper A.J. Mattingly and Senior Trooper Weston Sullivan. They were assisted at the scene by other KSP Troopers and the Office of Probation and Parole. Additional charges are expected to be forthcoming.
This was all brought about that lead to the Kentucky State Police Post 15 obtaining the search warrant that lead to the drug trafficking arrest, was due to Kentucky State Police Post 15 troopers discovering evidence while investigating a one vehicle fatal collision on Sportsman Lake Road in Marion County on same day Thursday morning
On December 28,2023, at approximately 9:39 A.M. EST, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15 troopers responded to a single-vehicle injury collision on Sportsman Lake Road in the Calvary community of Marion County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Emily Brooke Shuck, 18 of Gravel Switch, KY., was traveling west on Sportsman Lake Road in a 2005 Mazda 6 when she lost control of her vehicle and exited the right side of the roadway. Upon leaving the roadway, Emily Shuck then collided with several trees near the edge of the road.
Emily Shuck was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marion County Coroner. Two juvenile passengers in the vehicle were transported to Springview Hospital, one with serious injuries.
Emily Shuck would have turned 19 years old on this coming January 29
KSP Post 15 Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Fire and EMS, Marion County Rescue Squad, and Marion County Coroner. The fatal collision remains under investigation by Senior Trooper Weston Sullivan.
