Kentucky State Police Seize 137 Grams of Methamphetamine
ASHLAND, KY. (February 24, 2020) – On Saturday, February 22, 2020, at approximately 1810 hours the Kentucky State Police located approximately 137 grams of Methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
Trooper Bradley Couch initiated the stop in the Westwood Community of Boyd County. Trooper Couch made contact with the operator, Chad T. Trusty, age 23 of Ashland, Kentucky, who appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine. Mr. Trusty was placed under arrest and approximately 137 grams of methamphetamine was located along with a small quantity of narcotics.
Mr. Trusty was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center on the following charges:
- DUI 2nd,
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st degree 2nd offense (Methamphetamine),
- Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (Opiates),
- Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (Drug Unspecified).
This case remains under investigation by Trooper Bradley Couch.
