KENTUCKY STATE POLICE ARREST KY. MAN & MARION COUNTY, KY. WOMAN IN MARION COUNTY CHILD SEX ABUSE INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATION BEGAN IN THE EARLY PART OF THIS YEAR AFTER RECEIVING TIP REPORT ABOUT SEX ABUSE

A COUPLE PAIR OF CHILD SEX ABUSE CREEP PERVERTS: JEREMY SCOTT CISSELL, 42, OF SPRINGFIELD, KY., AND MEGAN MICHELLE REED, 37 OF LEBANON, KY., WERE BOTH ARRESTED ON AUGUST 28, AFTER THEY WERE CHARGED WITH CHILD SEX ABUSE OF A NINE (9) YEAR OLD– IN MARION COUNTY, KY. IN 2018.
A man and woman were arrested by Kentucky State Police were arrested earlier this week after they were charged together involving a child sex abuse case in Central Kentucky that allegedly happened in 2018.
According to a press release, troopers with Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15, in Columbia, KY., in Adair County have made two arrests in an ongoing investigation into the sexual abuse of a child in Marion County. The investigation began earlier this year when KSP Troopers received a report of sexual abuse of a child.
During their investigation, troopers discovered that Jeremy Scott Cissell, 42, of Springfield, KY., which is in Washington County; had engaged in inappropriate physical contact with a juvenile in Marion County. This occurred approximately 5 years ago, making the victim 9 years old at the time of the incident. It was also discovered that Megan Michelle Reed, 37 of Lebanon, KY., had aided Jeremy Cissell during the course of the incident.
Troopers obtained arrest warrants for both Jeremy Cissell and Megan Reed. The arrest warrants were served and both individuals were arrested on Monday, August 28, 2023. Jeremy Cissell was arrested in Washington County and charged with:
* SEXUAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE, VICTIM UNDER/12 YEARS OF AGE.
Megan Reed was arrested in Marion County and was charged with
* FACILITATION OF SEXUAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE, VICTIM UNDER/12 YEARS OF AGE.
Both Jeremy Cissell and Megan Reed have been lodged in the Marion County Detention Center in Lebanon, KY., and are currently held on a $25,000 cash bond. The case is being investigated by Trooper Trevor Sagrecy of KSP Post 15. Other charges may be pending as the investigation remains ongoing by Trooper Sagrecy.
