Kathryn Fraley, 88, of Louisa, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2025, at her residence. Born on July 27, 1936, in McDowell, KY, Kathryn was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Lorna (Spencer) Moore.
A devoted homemaker and member of Isaac Park Church, Kathryn was known for her deep love for her family, her faith, and her gentle, giving spirit. She found great joy in caring for her loved ones and was a guiding light for all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, James “Ernie” Fraley; her dear daughter, Jennie Salyer; sons-in-law, Ronnie Holt and Dwight Salyer; her precious great-granddaughter, Alisha Salyer; and her sister, Reetha Sue Thompson.
Kathryn’s legacy lives on through her children, Shirley (Bob) Kitchen, Karen (Glen) Price, and Helen Holt; her grandchildren, Nathan Salyer, Shannon Salyer, Sarah Arrington, James Kitchen, Shalon Holt, Keisha Moore, Stacy Saul, and Tracy Phillips; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dear friend, Brenda Prince Kirk, whose friendship brought her joy and comfort over the years.
Funeral services to celebrate Kathryn’s life will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Roger Ross officiating. She will be laid to rest at Isaac Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
