Kandi Lee (Nix) Brumfield went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Kandi loved life, her children and her Grandchildren. She was always on the go. She didn’t know the meaning to the words slow down. Kandi worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant until she retired. She was a former member of the Fort Gay Volunteer Fire Department. Kandi also loved sports and never missed a game her kids or grandkids played. And Loved keeping the scorebook in the dugout or at the scorer’s table.
Kandi was born May 25, 1955 to the late Harry Norman Nix, Sr. and the late Lorena Dowden Nix. She is also proceeded in death by three brothers, Terry Lee Nix, Kelly Bob Nix, and Harry Norman Nix, Jr.
Kandi is survived by one son Bo (Johnda) Brumfield of Louisa, Kentucky and one daughter, Ashlee Hylton of Fort Gay, West Virginia. Four Grandchildren Austin Trey Brumfield, Ashton Luke Brumfield, Trevor Jay Hylton, and Ashlyn Lorena Hylton. One sister Linda ( Jack ) Thomas of McArthur, Ohio and nieces Bobbi Christy and Lindsey Nix and Nephews Billy Thomas and Levi Nix. Step grandson Wade Spence.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 12:00 PM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
