Junita Parsons, 61, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Junita was born February 28, 1965 to the late Sylvester and Ethel (Hunt) Parsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Sylvester Parsons, Jr.
Survivors include her partner Jerry Thompson; daughter Lilly Parsons; grandson Joseph Finley; siblings Mary Finley and Sammy E. Parsons; aunts Lilly Jackson, Ruth Parsons, Sally Thompson, and Nancy Conn; sisters in law Virginia Jarrell and Nora Jane (Roy Lee) Thompson; nieces Molly Mae Thornhill and Freda Thompson; special friends Frankie Thornhill and Lot Thornhill; and her sweet cat Nicki.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Adkins and Brian Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery on Vinson Branch.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
