On December 20, 2025 “Judy” Edna Opal (Hall) Ratclliffe, 95, of Glenhayes, WV left her earthly loved ones to join the loved ones that were waiting for her in heaven.
She was born on September 23, 1930 in Crockett, VA.
She is survived by her children John (Hope) Ratcliffe of Huntington, WV, Mike (Susan) Ratcliffe of Fort Gay, WV, Randy (Claudia) Ratcliffe of Mims, FL, Jeanette Ratcliffe of Glenhayes, WV, and Paul (Terry) Ratcliffe of Prichard, WV; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Roy Hall and Minnie Lee (Flanagan) Hall; her husband Pearl Ratcliffe; beloved son Jeffrey Earl Ratcliffe; as well as many other loved ones.
She was a member of Big Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, had a beautiful voice, and sang in many local churches. She was well known for her southern style cooking and delicious desserts. Her home was a weekly gathering place for family and friends to enjoy her meals and visit with one another. She made everyone feel welcome and her Irish roots came through in many of her recipes.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at 12:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Ratcliffe Family Cemetery in Glenhayes, WV.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
