VERY, VERY BAD PARENTING!!:JOHNSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY PARENTS ARRESTED AFTER THEIR CHILD TESTS POSITIVE FOR “LETHAL AMOUNT” OF THREE DIFFERENT  DRUGSAUTHORITIES REMOVE COUPLE’S THREE CHILDREN, ALL TAKEN INTO FOSTER CARE
A Johnson County, Kentucky couple who are the parents of three small children were both arrested Monday evening, July 14, after one of the children tested positive for drugs.

Kentucky State Police were called to a residence on Jenny’s Creek Road, after social workers obtained paperwork to have the children removed from the home, after the youngest child, a 2-year-old, tested positive for a “lethal amount” of meth, as well as lesser amounts of cocaine and amphetamine.

The parents, identified as Brandon Patrick, 25, and Toni Brashay Short, 27, both of Hager Hill, KY., reportedly told police they did not know how the children came in contact with the drugs. The couple both suggested that the drugs must have come from the children’s maternal grandfather, who the children had stayed with until he was recently arrested.

Both Brandon Patrick and Toni Brashay Short were arrested by KSP trooper William Hall, and they were both charged with:

*CRIMINAL ABUSE 1ST DEGREE-CHILD 12 OR UNDER,

*ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A MINOR, &

*WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE. Brandon Patrick was additionally charged with

*FAILURE TO APPEAR; stemming from being wanted on a bench court warrant.

Both Brandon Patrick and Toni Short were transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville,KY., where they are currently being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on $10,000 cash only bonds.
