PLAYER’S COMMENTS
“… The deciding factor for me was who Coach Dalton is as a coach and person. He is a great coach who will be able to help me develop my game at the next level as well help me grow as a person and man.”
“… The transition was really smooth for me. I already had friends there who I’ve been close with for years and then it only took a couple days to really get involved with the community and they took me in and I fell in love with it since the first week I got here. Playing with my brother has been really special. That’s not something everyone gets to do and it will be cool to look back on. I’ve been able to help him make the transition to high school baseball and hopefully will help set him up for a bright future in his high school career.”
“… At Roane St I’m looking to study business and get my associates degree in that. I would like to be an athletic director in the future so starting out with an associates degree will be a good start towards becoming an AD.”
“… I would like to thank my parents and Coach Travis Brummitt. My parents have made a lot of sacrifices to help me chase my dream of playing college baseball, and I’ve played with Coach Brummitt since I was 10 and he has pushed me and held me to a high standard and it helped shape me who I am as a player.”

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… We have known JJ for years before we got him this season. A lot of our kids had played with him during travel ball and he was also in our Region at Greenback. We knew he was a good pitcher and seemed like every time we would face him he would get two or three hits. We knew he was a good kid and when they decided to come to Coalfield we were more than welcome to have him.”
“… We are a small community in East Tennessee and we knew he was a player. We had played against him a bunch of times in the past and when he showed up on campus in the fall and seen him and his brother Craig who is an 8th grader we were happy to have them both. Before they got here we knew they were great kids and would be tremendous assets to our program and community.”
“…Roane St. is a good program and is close to Coalfield and I think it is a very good fit for him. He could go down there and start or could get redshirted. We have a few players from here go down there and play and get a good two year degree and succeed in life. I played at Roane State along with three of my assistants and that program is getting a good one in JJ Caudill.”
“… If we would have had him last season I think we are state champs, he can for sure get us over the hump. This is a totally different team but once we get into the postseason JoeJon is another arm for us to utilize because he throws strikes, limits walks and is consistent on the mound. He is a big part of our team and we are sure glad to have him.”
