A Jefferson County, Kentucky woman is in jail, after police accused her of being intoxicated when she was involved in a fatal three vehicle collision crash.
According to the news release from the Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville, they reported that the crash happened just before 8:00 P.M., Friday evening, October 4, on Route 114 in Magoffin County, KY.
When Kentucky State Police Post 9 troopers arrived at the crash scene, they found one of the drivers, Sarah Caitlyn Spurling, 33, of Louisville, KY., sitting on the ground.
When a state trooper asked Sarah Spurling how the crash happened, Ms. Spurling told them she was driving and talking to her daughter on the phone. Ms. Spurling further said she looked away from the road briefly and when she looked back, she saw a car, who was later identified as Roger Arnett, 64, of Salyersville, KY., had stopped in front of her.
