Lawrence County , Ky. Fair goers will have to wait until next week for the annual event to get going full swing but this weekend has some of the most popular events like the Fair Beauty Contest and opening of the Pickleball tourney which drew a huge number of participants last year.
Official Opening ceremonies will take place next Thursday, July 24 with a speech by County Judge/Executive Phillip Carter and the opening of the fairgrounds and featuring a slew of entertainment.

District 1 Magistrate Rick Blackburn, who is heavily involved in the agriculture community here and has been instrumental in growing the event to its present robust form, spoke eagerly of the 2025 LC Fair, citing nearly all the features such as the horse show and rodeo this year at Tuesday’s LC fiscal court meeting.
Blackburn invited the court members and everyone else to the fair, saying it promises to be the best ever.
