INDICTED MOMMY MURDERER: JOSHUA MEENACH, 20, WAS ARRESTED BY THE KENTUCKY STATE POLICE ON THURSDAY, MARCH 28, FOR THE MURDER OF HIS MOTHER, STACY MEENACH, IN GREENUP COUNTY, KY., ON OR AT AROUND BEFORE MARCH 31, 2023
The Kentucky State Police Post 14 in Ashland, KY., in Boyd County, announced on Thursday March 28, the arrest of Joshua Meenach in connection with an ongoing investigation into the death of Stacy Meenach. The investigation began on Friday, March 31, 2023, following the discovery of human remains in a burned-out vehicle on Sawpit Road in Greenup County, KY.
On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the Greenup County Grand Jury issued an indictment warrant for Joshua Meenach, 20, charging him with *MURDER; *ARSON, 1ST DEGREE; *TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE; and *ABUSE OF CORPSE; all related to the homicide incident on Sawpit Road.
Joshua Meenach is the son of Stacy Meenach.
Greenup County Coroner Neil Wright said the murder case is still under investigation, and he also did not disclose her cause of death, but specified Stacy Meenach died less than 24 hours before her discovery.
Joshua Meenach was booked into Greenup County Detention Center in Greenup, KY., on Thursday, where he is being held on no bond allowed; just three days shy of one year to the day when his mother’s body was recovered.
Joshua Meenach is scheduled for his arraignment in Greenup Circuit Court before Greenup Circuit Judge Brian McCloud on Thursday, April 4.
