The correct identity of a 48 year-old Yellow Creek man who died in a house fire this week has been released by Lawrence Coroner Mike Wilson as William Riley Gartin.
But a close relative said this afternoon that the victim is actually Riley Franklin Gartin.
WSAZ News, and several Facebook posts had identified the man as William Franklin.
Wilson said the official cause of death is smoke inhalation. He said his office does not release the names of victims until the official report comers back from Frankfort.
