Mechanics group growing at ACTCS
PAINTSVILLE, Ky. – Thanks to the I-CAR Foundation and the sponsorship of Bar’s Products, Capa, Cintas, Ford Motor Company, Hollander Parts, RiSlone, and UniCare Spray Booth, Big Sandy Community and Technical College’s (BSCTC) Collision Repair students received a technician shirt.
The program was part of a national initiative which raised $10,000 for the I-CAR Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Fund.
“It is important that we link our students with the industry standard,” said Collision Repair Instructor Dewayne Kinner. “Our relationship with I-CAR has opened so many doors, and we are appreciative of their work to build a brand for our industry.”
Last year, BSCTC was a recipient of the coveted I-CAR certification and earned a grant that waives fees for student’s earning the organization’s silver gold and platinum certifications this year. Every student in Kinner’s program received a technician shirt thanks to the foundation.
