JASON MICHAEL CARROLL AND DYLAN SCOTT…
will headline 7th Annual event to be held August 5 & 6 in Flemingsburg, KY
FLEMINGSBURG, KY: March 4, 2016 – Hoedown in the Holler, a homegrown country music festival started in 2010, will return for the 7th renewal in 2016. The event will be moved to summer from its previous scheduling in the fall. The festival will be held on Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6 at Mandolin Farm. The event will be headlined by Jason Michael Carroll, who also headlined the event in 2014. He is the first repeat headliner and is brought back by the demand of Hoedown fans who were thrilled by his high energy performance. Hit songs like the Top 5 single “Alyssa Lies”, Top 10 favorite “Livin’ Our Love Song” and Top 20 hit “I Can Sleep When I’m Dead” propelled his first album to #1 on the country charts.
“We are looking forward to moving the event up to summer and having some great festival weather,” stated Kimber Goodwin, event organizer. “Honestly, we’ve been fighting the elements all six years of the festival and it was time for a change.”
Dylan Scott, a rising star in the country world is currently on tour with Lee Brice (Hoedown headliner in 2010) and has been a viral success with music lovers with over 13 million views of his videos on YouTube and nearly 200,000 Facebook fans. An old soul with a young spirit … a dreamer who imagined himself following his father’s path to Nashville … a man’s man with a lifelong love for hunting and country music … and a heartthrob whose wide smile and deep-voiced Louisiana drawl have already turned many a woman’s head, Scott comes by it honest with his father playing for Freddy Fender and other music legends. Singles include “Lay It On Me” and “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy”.
“We are very excited to have Jason Michal Carroll return to headline the event. Of the over 30 bands we’ve brought to the Holler, he was the most popular request to return,” said Goodwin. “I’m equally as excited about newcomer Dylan Scott, he has an amazing voice, is on a major tour, and I believe is one of those performers we will be talking about for years to come, just like when Lee Brice came to Hoedown.”
