LOUISA, Ky. — (5-27-22) The Lawrence County Grand Jury met and reported out on issued indictments this week.. Among the indictments, Jacob Crockett was indicted for theft of a 2001 Toyota Avalon owned by Whitney Spaulding along with some Under Armor boots.
Here are the indictments:
Commonwealth vs. Jaime Alvaro
The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 2, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Jamie Alvaro Jr. committed the offense of bail jumping in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with out without bail, upon condition that he will subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with felony charge that he failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court, namely a Pre-Trial Conference.
Commonwealth vs. Jacob Crockett
The Grand Jury charges that on or before January 31, 2022 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Jacob Crockett committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $1000 (auto) by knowingly and unlawfully taking a 2001 Toyota Avalon automobile owned by Whitney Spaulding of Louisa, Ky with a value exceeding $1000.
2. The above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking under $1000 by knowingly and unlawfully taking a pair of Under Armour brand boots owned by Whitney Spaulding of Louisa, Ky.
3. The above named defendant committed the offense of license to be in possession by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Ky roadway without being in possession of a valid operator’s license.
Commonwealth vs. Vondy Jude
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 13, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Vondy Jude committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
2. The above named defendant committed the offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence which impair a driver’s ability to operate that motor vehicle.
3. The above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the third degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a schedule IV and V controlled substances.
Commonwealth vs. Vondy Jude
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 13, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Vondy Jude committed the offense of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon by possessing a .9mm caliber Hi Point brand handgun after having been previously convicted of a felony.
Commonwealth vs. Jonathan Young
The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 18, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Jonathan Young committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 40 grams of Methamphetamine, $695 in cash monies, with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine or by trafficking in that 40 grams of Methamphetamine.
2. That the defendant having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony counts is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
3. Jonathan Young acting alone or in complicity with April Harper committed the offense in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, namely Heroin, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance.
4. The above named defendant committed the offense of fleeing/evading in the second degree by knowingly disobeying a command to stop by Deputy Mason Keefer with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department who had reasonable suspicion that the defendant had committed a crime.
Commonwealth vs. Jordan Begley
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 7, 2022 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Jordan Begley committed the offense of fleeing/evading in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical control of a motor vehicle upon a Ky roadway and disregarding signals and commands to stop given by Officer Jeffrey Kirk with the Louisa Police Department with the intent to flee, avoid or elude his arrest.
2. Jordan Begley committed the offense of fleeing/evading in the first degree ( on foot ) by knowingly and unlawfully disregarding orders of Officer Jeffrey Kirk with the Louisa Police Department to stop who was operating in his official capacity with the intent to flee, avoid or elude his arrest.
3. Jordan Begley committed the offense of wanton endangerment in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person, namely Deputy Travis Music with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and Officer Chase Kirk with the Louisa Police Department.
4. The above named defendant committed the offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, first offense, within five years.
Commonwealth vs. Steven Vanhoose
The Grand Jury charges that on or before March 26, 2022 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Steven Vanhoose acting alone or in complicity with Sabre Napier committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
Commonwealth vs. Sabre Napier
The Grand Jury charges that on or before March 26, 2022 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Sabre Napier acting alone or in complicity with Steven Vanhoose committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
Commonwealth vs. Jessica Borders
The Grand Jury charges that on or before April 27, 2022 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Jessica Borders committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 12/5 grams of Methamphetamine, and a set of digital scales with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine or by trafficking in that 12.5 grams of Methamphetamine.
2. The above named defendant committed the offense of public intoxication by knowingly and unlawfully by being in a public place manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance, or other intoxicating substance, to the degree that she as a danger to herself or other persons or property, or unreasonably annoy persons in her vicinity.
Commonwealth vs. Michael Pennington
The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 11, 2020 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Michael Pennington committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 (auto) by knowingly and unlawfully taking a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Mr. William Spradlin of Lousia, Ky with a value exceeding $10,000.
2. That the defendant having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count(s) is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
Commonwealth vs. Kelly C. Collins
The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 21, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Kelly Collins committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
2. Kelly Collins committed the offense of tampering with physical evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding.
3. That the defendant having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count(s) is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
4. The above named defendant committed the offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense within five years.
Commonwealth vs. Darin Conley
The Grand Jury charges that on or before April 1, 2022 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Darin Conley committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
2. Darin Conley committed the offense of possession of drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of an altered pipe and altered straw.
Commonwealth vs. Windy Reaper
The Grand Jury charges that on or before April 7, 2022 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Windy Reaper on November 30, 2021 through April 7, 2022 acting in commission with Harley Ratliff (deceased) committed the offense of conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully having the intention of promoting or facilitating the commission of the crime of trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine.
2. Windy Reaper committed the offense of tampering with physical evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying , removing, altering, or concealing physical evidence that she believed would be used against her in an official proceeding.
3. The above named defendant committed the offense of possession of drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of digital scales and small plastic baggies.
Commonwealth vs. Leann Dent
The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 22, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Leann Dent committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
2. The above named defendant committed the offense of possession drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of glass pipes.
Commonwealth vs. Tammy Jo Evans
The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 25, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Tammy Jo Evans acting alone or in complicity with Garland Akers Jr committed the offense of burglary in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering the dwelling house located on Newcombe Lane in Louisa, Ky owned by Vela Lemaster of Louisa, Ky with the intent therein to commit the crime of theft.
2. That the defendant having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count(s) is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
Commonwealth vs. Jessica Shook
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 16, 2021 in Lawrence Co., Ky, the above named defendant:
1. Jessica Shook committed the offense trafficking Marijuana (more than eight ounces/less than five pounds) by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 8.50 ounces of Marijuana, a set of digital scales, and a ledger documenting transactions, with the intent to traffic in that 23 grams of Marijuana or by trafficking in the 8.50 ounces of Marijuana.
2. The above named defendant committed the offense of possession of drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of three altered pipes containing residue.
