George Harmon Arms, affectionately known as “Bones” to his loved ones, was born on the 6th of August in 1968, in Paintsville, Kentucky.

A big personality with an even bigger heart, Bones traveled the road less traveled, bringing joy and laughter to all he met. Retired from a fulfilling career as a truck driver, he was known for his sense of humor and his ability to always find the funny side in any situation.

His love and dedication to his family were undeniable, and his zest for life was infectious. He had a unique way of filling a room with warmth, making everyone feel welcome and loved. A devoted family man, George’s happiest moments were spent playing with his grandchildren. His laughter, a constant echo in their games, will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Preceded in death by his father George Arms, he is survived by his wife Melissa Sue Wright Arms; children Kyle (Tori) Wright and Victoria (Austin Jones) Arms, mother Della Harrison; grandchildren Lukas Chase Wright, Brentley Koe Jones, Bailey Madalene Stephens, and Elijah Hayes Jones; siblings Doris Hyden, Judy Hampton, and Roger Arms; and a host of nieces and nephews. His legacy will live on through his family and the countless memories he left behind.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Concord Independent Church with Minister Tracy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Concord Independent Church on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Arms and his family.
