Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that a suspect was arrested for drugs and weapon charges.

Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle in the Fort Gay area and the driver was attempting to hide drugs. The Drug Enforcement Unit got to the door of the vehicle as Brandon Fasnacht was attempting to shove a bag containing a distribution quantity of Methamphetamine down his pants.

A loaded Taurus 9mm with an extended magazine was located under the driver’s seat. Marijuana was also seized from Brandon’s pocket.

Brandon is currently on parole for Fleeing from Kentucky officers into WV on a crotch rocket in 2021. The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit blocked the main road and sent Brandon down a dead-end road where he was taken into custody during that incident.

Brandon was arrested and is charged with being prohibited from possessing a firearm, concealed weapon by a prohibited person, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine.
