Evans then connected with Jonathan Dingess for a 34 yard touchdown and once again found his cousin for the two point conversion and it was 22-0 Fort Gay.

Evans finished off his fantastic first half with a 14 yard touchdown run and it was 28-0 Fort Gay.

Buffalo controlled the clock in the second and kept the ball away from the and scored a touchdown to make the final score of 28-6.

Viking Head Coach Chris Johnson

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… At half time Karter Johnson comes into the locker room with everyone cheering and he yells out “jobs not finished! We got 16 more mins then we can celebrate!”

“… You’ve got 3 seconds to think of a mistake that you just made any longer and it alters your next play…. Pout 3 seconds and move on.”

Timmy Evans

I’m always preaching Attitude and Effort!

“We told them, all week long that this was a game they would have to set the tone early. That Buffalo was a tough team, with good coaches, and would be coming at them for 4 quarters. Our kids answered that challenge and came out, executed our game plan on both offense and defense, and I think kind of surprised Buffalo. We were prepared, and we showed it by jumping out to a 28-0. Got a little tired and a little sloppy in the second half. So, we have to get in better shape and clean some things up. But, like where we are at this point in the year.”

Justin Prince

“If your not blocking someone your wrong”

Mike Bowen

“The kids showed a lot of heart and didn’t quit!”

Frank Delawder

“Protect what’s yours! This is your field, your team, your family and as young men you must protect what’s yours!”

Gabe Smith

“To God the glory. When we started this year out only a couple kids knew the Lord’s Prayer now we have a team that knows it by heart. That’s the start of our program. God first and the rest will play itself out.”

“ We knew this was going to be a physical game. We had a good week of practice and came prepared. It all starts with this offensive and defensive line. They set the tone from start to finish. We got multiple guys capable of making a house call at any minute and that really gives us a lot of freedom on offense. With many weapons on defense Dawson Richardson, Eli Fitch, Tristan Smith and Bentley Bradley to name a few allows us to be aggressive and only allowing 6 points in three games.”

“ The downfield blocking from Jameson Evans springing Jonathon Dingess for a touchdown was nothing short of amazing. They all have bought in and enjoy making plays for each other. Carson Evans is so dynamic with having 12 total touchdowns on the season. With a downhill runner in Jameson Evans allows us to play inside out. So proud of everyone on this team! It was a good win for the Vikings”
