PLAYER’S COMMENTS
“… Being able to pitch at Southern Miss. is going to be something that I will remember for the rest of my life. Southern Miss. has been to a Super Regional the last 2 years and their fan base is absolutely crazy over their baseball team. Thousands of people were there a while before the game even started setting there chairs up just to make sure they were able to get a decent seat for the game. Going out to the mound in that first inning and looking around just to see all the fans and people yelling already was awesome. It’s something you dream of as a kid who has aspirations to pitch at the college level to pitch in front of a crowd that big. Pitching well was just another part of it. I knew after Fridays game that I needed to go out there on Saturday and give my team the best chance to win a game.”
“… Arkansas State is a huge series for us. After this past weekend, we felt like that series should have been ours and we truly cannot wait to play in front of our fans at home for our first conference series at our new field. I have said it before and will say it now, this team is so enjoyable to be around and be on. Excited to compete again this week.”
