FLOYD COUNTY, KENTUCKY WOMAN INDICTED ON CHARGE OF MURDER FOR THE DEATH OF MAN RESULTING FROM JANUARY 2022 DUI CRASH
BOTH THE INTOXICATED DRIVER AND HER MALE PASSENGER WERE EJECTED FROM THEIR CAR ON U.S. 23 IN BETSY LAYNE AREA IN EARLY MORNING CRASH NEARLY ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO
A Floyd County, Kentucky woman has been indicted recently for murder, nearly two years (23 months to be exact) after a fatal crash she caused while driving while intoxicated.
Cammie Danielle Little, 36, of Bevinsville, KY., was arrested on Thursday, December 21, following her indictment in November 2023. The indictment murder case remained under seal until Cammie Little was arrested.
Cammie Little was the driver of a car that struck a rock embankment along U.S. 23 at Betsy Layne, KY., early on the morning of January 21, 2022. Cammie Little and her passenger, Casey Stephen Brown, 37, of Betsy Layne, were both ejected from their vehicle.
Casey Brown died at the scene, while Cammie Little was taken to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Cammie Little has now been charged in the indictment with Murder, and also Aggravated Driving Under Influence, in connection with the fatal crash case. Cammie Little is being held in the Floyd County Detention in Prestonsburg, KY,., where she is being held on a $1 million full cash bond only.
