PLEADING GUILTY TO HIS EVIL CHILD SEX PORN & CHILD SEX ABUSE HE PERSONALLY FILMED:CHRISTOPHER JACOB HALL, 26, OF GRETHEL, KY., PLEAD GUILTY IN FEDERAL COURT THIS WEEK IN PIKEVILLE, KY., TO PRODUCING AND DISTRIBUTING CHILD PORNORGRPHY, AND IS NOW FACING 15 YEARS TO LIFE IN FEDERAL PRISON, AND COULD STILL FACE STATE CHARGES FROM HIS ORIGINAL ARREST IN JUNE 2022.
A Floyd County, Kentucky man is now facing a lengthy prison sentence, after pleading guilty in federal court in Pikeville, KY., to federal charges of producing and distributing child pornography.
Christopher Jacob Hall, 26, of Grethel, KY., was originally charged with producing, distributing and possessing child porn when he was indicted by a federal grand jury in London, KY., in Laurel County, on June 22, 2023. In exchange for his guilty plea, federal prosecutors have agreed to drop the possession charge.
When he was first arrested by Kentucky State Police on June 28, 2022, on twenty-one (21) child porn charges, Christopher Hall initially admitted to downloading child porn and distributing it for financial gain. But in his guilty plea agreement on his federal charges, Christoper Hall admits to using his phone to record himself sexually abusing a 4-year-old girl. Christopher Hall also admits to sending that video to other people using the messaging service WhatsApp.
Christopher Hall now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of at least 15 years, to up to 30 years in federal prison, with the potential threat of a potential minimum of life in federal prison. Christopher Hall could also be ordered to pay thousands in restitution to the victim, and additional special assessments.
Christopher Hall is scheduled to be back in federal court in Pikeville for his final sentencing on Monday, August 5.
Christopher Hall has been incarcerated since his original arrest on December 2022 for his state charges, initially being held at the Floyd County Detention Center until July 19, 2023, when he was transferred to the Laurel County Detention Center in London, KY., shortly after his federal indictment; and then he was finally taken to be lodged in the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville, KY., on December 8, 2023, where has remained since.
