What a gift last night’s Journey to Bethlehem truly was.

Seeing churches across Lawrence County come together under the banner of Christ Jesus was a beautiful reminder of what God can do when His people unite.

In just over six weeks, an idea was spoken, prayers were lifted, sleeves were rolled up, and, just like that, we were walking right into it; that idea became reality. Even when the forecast threatened to cancel the evening, we just kept going hand to the plow, His will be done—and He was faithful. With only a light sprinkle, He parted the clouds and gave us clear skies and 60-degree weather to proclaim the advent of His birth and the good news of the gospel.

I walked away, once again reminded that no task is too big for God and that The Great Commission is far greater than any single local church.

A recent 9Marks article said it well: “We can at least agree that local churches are to relate by knowing, encouraging, serving, and sharing with one another for the glory of God and the sake of the gospel.”

We saw that lived out last night—alongside like-minded believers, new friends, and my own family. Grateful, encouraged, and expectant for what the Lord will continue to do in our community!

(Feel free to snag any pictures. Huge thanks to Mrs Connie, Marsha, & Jen for sending!)

Overwhelmed by these body of believers and community groups. So thankful to have gotten to link arms with them and share with our community:
