FENTANYL DEALER WAS ARRESTED IN THE WESTMORELAND AREA

Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that a major Fentanyl dealer was arrested in the Westmoreland area.

Chris Reed,

Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Chris Reed, formally of Detroit. The residence is located near Corbin Park. A large quantity of Fentanyl was seized from the residence along with digital scales and a press.

Reed was arrested during a traffic stop shortly after. A large sum of US currency was seized during his arrest. Chris is charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl and Possession with Intent to Deliver – Fentanyl.

Sheriff Thompson stated that the search warrant stemmed from a lengthy investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit. The Kenova Police Department and WV State Police assisted in the arrest and serving the search warrant. Reed is currently on Federal Parole for a felony gun charge.
