FAYETTE COUNTY MAN, WOODFORD COUNTY, KY WOMAN ARRESTED IN MAGOFFIN COUNTY ON DRUG TRAFFICKING CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC STOP FOR HEADLIGHT VIOLATION
MALE SUSPECT FOUND TO HAVE FUGITIVE WARRANT OUT FOR HIM, LEADS TO HIM BEING TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR A TOTAL OF FIFTEEN (15) OFFENSES

DRUG MULE DUO: ENRIQUE M. BEARD, 39, OF LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY & BRITTANY ANNE MUNDY, 39, OF VERSAILLES, KENTUCKY; WERE ARRESTED ON SUNDAY NIGHT, FEBRUARY 25, INMAGOFFIN COUNTY, KY., AFTER THEY WERE PULLED OVER & DISCOVERED WITH MULTIPLE ILLEGAL NARCOTIC. DRUGS
A duo who were driving with only one headlight was all that was needed for a man and woman from the central Kentucky area couple to be arrested on major drug charges in Magoffin County at the late end of this past weekend.
According to the arrest citation report, deputy Neil Watson of the Magoffin County Sheriff was patrolling on Burning Fork Road when he spotted a car with only one headlight, which caused deputy Watson to turn to get behind and follow the vehicle. After the car turned onto Route 114 toward the city of Prestonsburg, deputy Watson initiated a traffic stop and pulled it over the car and when approaching the vehicle, deputy Watson wrote that he immediately noticed the scent of marijuana coming from the car.
After speaking to the driver, who was identified in the arrest report as Enrique M. Beard, 39, of Lexington, KY., and running his info, deputy Watson learned that Enrique Beard was wanted on a fugitive warrant out of Lexington for fentanyl trafficking, which led to deputy Watson to place Enrique Beard immediately under arrest.
Deputy Watson along with a K-9 unit that soon arrived on the scene to conduct searched the car and found a bag of heroin, a bag of cocaine and a drug pipe outside on the ground, a bag of meth and some loose pills in the front of the car, and a duffel bag containing a variety of drugs and paraphernalia.
In all, Enrique Beard was charged with a total of 15 criminal offenses combined from the traffic stop drug bust and outstanding bench warrant, which are as the following:
- TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND OR > – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
- *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND OFFENSE (CARFENTANIL OR FENTANYL DERIVATIVES),
- *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 2ND OR > OFFENSE – (HEROIN),
- *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND OR > OFFENSE – (> OR = 4 GRAMS COCAINE),
- *TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE, 2ND OFFENSE – (> OR=20 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 3),
- *TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( LESS THAN 8 OUNCES.) 1ST OFFENSE,
- *POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON,
- *TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,
- *PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT IN PROPER CONTAINER 2ND >OFFENSE,
- *DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
- *FAILURE TO APPEAR, CITATION FOR MISDEMEANOR,
- *OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,
- *INSUFFICIENT HEAD LAMPS, *FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS,
- *PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II.
A female passenger in the car, Brittany Anne Mundy, 39, of Versailles, KY., was also arrested and was charged with:
* POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), and
*TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.
Both Enrique Beard and Brittany Mundy were transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville, KY., in Johnson County, where they remain incarcerated .
