As the search continues for a missing central Kentucky woman, her relatives are asking people to be vigilant around their own property.
Crystal Warner has been missing since July 3 when she and her boyfriend Bobby Jones were last seen.
Jones’ remains were found near Goshen Road in Clark County Aug. 5, though Warner has not been found.
Family members continue to assist with the search and are asking people to check their land.
“We’re asking people… to think back around July 3 and if anything comes to mind about that night (and) anything they might have seen,” Warner’s cousin Tammy Mattingly said. “We want people to take some time to search their property. Anything would be so helpful.”
Jones’ remains were found at the bottom of an embankment about 20 feet from the edge of the road, Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue said at the time. There had been enough decomposition the remains could be hard to spot, he said.
The couple reportedly went to collect rent from Craig Pennington when they disappeared. Pennington has since been charged with multiple charges, including two counts of murder.
Warner’s car was found in Georgetown July 8 and cell phone records indicated they were near Frankfort on July 3.
“She’s still out there,” Mattingly said. “We want to find her.”
