Ashland, Ky. — The Fallburg basketball team went 4-1 on Saturday as the Dragons came out of the losers bracket and overcame a big earlier loss to capture the Rose Hill invitational tournament held at Rose Hill Christian school.
After falling into the losers bracket with a 29 point defeat against Rose Hill, the Dragons showed tremendous fight in the championship game and got revenge against the Royals as Fallsburg walked away with a 35-29 victory to bring home the hardware to Lawrence Co.

Fallburg 42 Carter Christian 21 ( game 1 )
In the first game of the tournament the Dragons made quick work of Carter Christian to advance in the winners bracket.

In the next game it was a close one against Ignite out of West Virginia but the Dragons pulled away in the end.

In the winners bracket championship the Royals jumped all over the Dragons and never looked back.

Fallsburg faced the West Virginia team for the second time and picked up another win to set up a rematch for the title against Rose Hill.

“… My boys showed a tremendous amount of pride and grit by not giving up after the bad loss to Rose Hill. They very easily could have given up but they continued to fight. Very proud.”
Fallsburg Elementary finished the season at 20-7 A & B Team combined record.
