Extended Road Closure scheduled for Permanent Culvert Replacement KY 1092 in Johnson County

Closure set for Apr. 6 through Apr. 15. Work will include weekends

JOHNSON COUNTY (Apr. 5, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of an extended closure along KY 1092 in Johnson County. The work site is located at mile point 9.1 in the Kerz area (.01 miles West of KY 201) near the KY 1092/KY 201 intersection.

This project will replace an existing pipe with a new aluminum box culvert. Crews will remove the existing structure beginning Saturday, Apr. 6, at 8 a.m. Work will continue over the next week and a half to set the new permanent culvert in place. The road will remain closed for the duration of the project. KY 1092 is expected to reopen on Apr. 15.

Motorists, including emergency vehicles, must use an alternate route during this time. Work schedules are subject to weather conditions.
