Van, W. Va. — Robert Evans scored five touchdowns to lead Tolsia ( 4-2 ) to a 41-0 road victory over Van ( 1-5 ) on Friday night.
#5 Robert Evans matched his jersey number with 5 touchdowns Friday.
After a scoreless first quarter the Rebels got in the scoreboard with a Luke Williamson 1 yard quarterback sneak and Robert Evans added the PAT for a 7-0 lead with 10:42 left in the first half.
Evans scored his first of five touchdown runs with a 27 yarder to make it 13-0 with 3:50 left before halftime.
Evans scored from 2 yards out and ran in the two point conversion and Tolsia led 21-0 with 1:02 left in the second quarter.
In the third quarter Evans found the end zone from 15 yards out and added the extra point kick to make it 28-0 with 6:07 left in the third period.
In the final period Evans had touchdowns runs of 45 yards and 23 yards and kicked one more extra point to set the final score of 41-0.
Evans finished with 188 yards on 16 carries and was 2 of 3 passing for 54 yards.
Bray Mollette carried the ball 6 times for 34 yards, Dakota Blackburn had 34 yards on 3 carries, Luke Williamson had 25 yards on 5 attempts and went 2 of 4 passing for 26 yards.
John Jarrell had 2 catches for 22 yards, Zach Ratcliffe 1 catch for 45 yards and Dakota Blackburn had 1 catch for 13 yards.
#12 Greyson Golden was all over the field defensive in a win over Van.
Defensively the Rebels were led by Greyson Golden with 8 tackles and a fumble recovery, Mason Brewer 7 tackles, Dylan Stroud and Evans 6 tackles apiece, Chase Thompson 5 tackles and a fumble recovery.
The Rebels will be back on the road Friday night at Class AA Buffalo ( 3-4 ).
Van will travel to county rival Sherman on Friday night.
