Escaped inmate captured in eastern Kentucky
An inmate who escaped from McCracken County Jail over the weekend was captured Tuesday in eastern Kentucky.
Daniel Bell, 35, of Paintsville, escaped Sunday when he stole a pickup truck while participating in a work release program at Brooks Stadium, authorities said.
According to a Facebook post from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department, which arrested Bell after his escape, his capture came after a 30-mile pursuit that started in Prestonsburg and ended in the inmate’s hometown of Paintsville.
