EARLY MORNING SLIDE

12-12-25 5:30 A.M. Morning Update – District 12

.

Johnson, Lawrence, and Knott counties are reporting the highest snow accumulations so far. Up to 3 inches in some portions of the counties.

.

Crews say roads are snow covered with a layer of ice underneath.
Floyd, Letcher, Martin, and Pike counties have seen less accumulation, but all are still reporting slick driving conditions with snow covering most routes.

.

Snow is expected to continue for several more hours.

.

Bottom line: If you MUST travel this morning, be prepared for hazardous driving conditions. There’s a layer of ice under the snow. Stay safe, D-12. #kytcd12 #TeamKentucky
