Dovie F. Spurlock, 80, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2025 at her home. Dovie was born May 4, 1945 in Louisa, KY to the late Staton and Celia Thompson.
Dovie was a Christian and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to cook and can.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Valkie Thompson, Fred Thompson, Gabriel Thompson, Ellen McCoy, and Katherine McCoy; and brother in law Kenny Pelfrey.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years Fred Roger Spurlock; children Randy Spurlock, Scotty (Marie) Spurlock, and Teresa (Greg) Bowen; grandchildren Cody (Christian) McComas, Shannon McComas, Elizabeth Bowen, Tony Bowen, Gregory Bowen, John Valalitski, and Gabby (Fred) Arthur; great grandchildren Haven McComas, Mack Arthur, Freddie Arthur, Scotty Arthur, Lila Beth Bowen, and Gavin Lewis; sisters Clora (Robert) George, Bertha (John) McKinster, and Lexie Pelfrey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ronnie Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Spurlock Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
