Donald Gene Taylor, 72, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Three Rivers Medical Center.
Donald was born February 21, 1949 in Grayson, KY to the late Arthur and Elsie (Adams) Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Kenny Taylor and Frankie Taylor.
Donald was a farmer and loved nature. He had the best green thumb and could grow or revive anything, He enjoyed fishing and working with metal.
Donald was a member of Laurel Gap Church until it closed. He then began attending Fallsburg Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife Pauletta Taylor; siblings Patricia Collins and Donna Jo (David) Harris; many nieces and nephews including a special niece Rachel Dalton.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother James Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery in Carter County.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at from 9:00 AM until time of service at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. The family requests that everyone attending the services wear a facial covering.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Taylor and his family.
