Dixie Racine Thompson. 82, of Louisa, KY passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Three Rivers Medical Center. Racine was born March 5, 1942 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Mont and Louise (Maynard) Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Polly Fannin, Maggie Johnson, and Linda Sluss and brother John “Buck” Thompson.

Survivors include her sisters Joeann Elkins and Dave Osborn of Huntington, WV, Dorothy and Chester Meredith of Fort Gay, WV, and Beverly and Tim Felts of Low Gap, NC; and one brother Clifford “Tommy” and Brenda Thompson of Louisa, KY; and she was nanny to numerous of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Thompson Cemetery at Vinson Branch. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank Dr. Marc Workman and his staff and the staff of The Jordan Center and Three Rivers Medical Center for the excellent care she received.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Thompson and her family.
