DAWGS WIN OT THRILLER OVER PAINTSVILLE ON SENIOR NIGHT

Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence Co. Boys improved to 21-4 after a thrilling 56-53 overtime victory over Paintsville ( 10-14 ) on Senior night Tuesday.

The Dawgs outscored the Tigers 7-4 in the extra period to get the win. 

Hayden Perry led the Bulldogs with 13 points, Blake Marcum tallied 12 points, Andrew Bloomfield added 11 points, Gunnar Woods netted 7 points, Kaden Johnson had 6 points, Logan Ratliff chipped in with 5 points and Luke Fetherolf scored 2. 

Lawrence Co. hit 4 three pointers and went 10 of 17 from the free throw line.

The Dawgs made the trek to Lick Creek and blew out the Warriors Saturday afternoon. 

Hayden Perry led the way with 21 points as nine different Bulldogs dented the scorebook, Andrew Bloomfield tallied 13 points, Blake Marcum added 10 points, Logan Ratliff and Braxton Davis had 9 points each including 3 three pointers from Davis, Gunnar Woods netted 6 points, Kaden Johnson had 4 points, Ford Scaggs and Luke Fetherolf had 3 points each. 

Lawrence Co. hit 8 three pointers and went 4 of 5 from the charity stripe. 

The Dawgs will head out Wayne ( WV ) to take on the Pioneers tonight before hosting Ashland on Friday night.

“… Great to get a senior night win last night against Paintsville. We didn’t shoot the ball particularly well, but you will have that some nights. It’s a good sign when you are able to win games even when you don’t play to your fullest potential. Special thanks to Logan Ratliff, Ford Scaggs, Andrew Bloomfield and Blake Marcum. Four great seniors that have been great leaders within our program!”
