Robinson Creek, Ky. — After a tough loss on Saturday night Lawrence Co. ( 9-6 ) picked up a 86-75 road win over Shelby Valley ( 10-7 ) on Monday night.
Hayden Perry looks to initiate the offense.

Hayden Perry had a team high 21 points and pulled down 8 rebounds for the Dawgs. Kaden Johnson was close behind with 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Bulldogs placed five players in double figures. CJ Waller tallied 16 points and yanked down a team high 13 rebounds, Kaiden Harris and Caden Muncy had 11 points each, Andrew Ratcliffe netted 4 points and Isaah Hughes chipped in with 3 points.
CJ Waller had back to back double doubles against Johnson Central and Shelby Valley.

The Dawgs knocked down 7 three pointers and went 21 for 31 from the free throw line.

In the Class 2A Section 8 tournament championship game the Golden Eagles started fast and held on for the victory.
Kaiden Harris had a career high 38 points against Johnson Central.

Kaiden Harris hit 4 three pointers and had a team high 38 points along with 6 rebounds to lead his team in the tough loss to rival Johnson Central. CJ Waller added 10 points and a team high 13 rebounds for his second double double in last two games, Kaden Johnson tallied 9 points, Caden Muncy and Hayden Perry had 8 points each, Luke Fetherolf had 3 points and Isaah Hughes chipped in with 2 points.
The Bulldogs hit 7 three pointers and went 15 of 17 from the free throw line.

The Dawgs will return to action on Thursday with two home contests versus Belfry and then Friday against district rival Floyd Central.

“… Tough way to end the 2A tournament losing to JC in the finals. Hats off to them for a game well played. We didn’t shoot the ball particularly well against them and also didn’t guard it very well. That is a bad combination.”
