Eastern, Ky. — Floyd Central ( 15-15 ) won the 58th District baseball championship for the first time after a 3-1 victory over Lawrence Co. ( 18-11 ) Wednesday.

Will Lafferty suffered the defeat on the mound going five innings, allowing three hits, three runs, walked four and struck out five Jaguars, He also singled offensively.
Abner Collinsworth singled and drove in the lone Bulldog run, Dylan Whitt singled and Eli Fletcher scored a run.

The 15th Region Baseball draw will be Friday with first round games to be played on Sunday at Stonecrest Park in Prestonsburg.
