David O. Perry

1931 — 2017

On Saturday, May 6, 2017 David O. Perry, 85 years of age, passed away at the Savannah Cove skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Maitland, Fla. 

David was born on June 14, 1931 in Wayne County West Virginia to the late Albert (AJ) and Thelma Perry. He was also, preceded in death by a son, David Allen Perry; a daughter, Deborah K Perry, and a sister, Barbara J. Morrone.

David is survived by his wife Dorothy, one son, John Perry, a grandson, John Perry, Jr. , two granddaughters, Patrica Ridel and Crystal (Steve Michael) Elton, great grandchildren, Tara Didel, Danial Didel, Stefenae Elton, Shyanne Elton and Kayla Elton, all of Akron, Ohio. David is also, survived by sisters Juanita Staten, Pritchard, WV and Mable (Larry Jack) Smith, of Kenova, WV. ; brothers, Albert Jr. (Louise) Perry, of Wheat Ridge, Co., Richard Perry, of Kenova, WV, and James H. (Jim) Perry, San Diego, Ca. 

David was retired and has lived in Orlando, Florida for the past 50 years. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean War, a military honors will be performed by VFW & American Legion of Louisa, Kentucky at the grave site. Prior to moving to Florida, David lived for many years in Fort Gay, WV. He was a mason and a member of the Vinson Masonic lodge, Fort Gay, WV, whose members will preform final rites at the grave site.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Young Funeral Home, located at 201 West Main Street, Louisa, Ky.

Visitation will be from 12 pm till 2 pm on Saturday May 13, 2017. Funeral services will commence at 2 pm with the Rev, Tim Preston officiating. Burial will follow at the Fort Gay Cemetary, Fort Gay, WV.
