Daniel Scarberry, Sr., 88, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

 

Daniel was born on October 15, 1935 in Lawrence County, KY to the late John Milton and Madge Scarberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives Barbara Jean Preston Scarberry and Nancy Reichert Scarberry; daughters in law Karen Scarberry and Rita Scarberry; and siblings Gladys Ward, Tilley Reichert, Oscar Scarberry, Paul Eugene Scarberry, and Jewel Scarberry.

 

Daniel was a member of the United Baptist Church and retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator from the coal mines.

 

Survivors include his sons Daniel Scarberry, Jr., Richard Scarberry, and David (Marshalene) Scarberry; grandchildren Rebecka Scarrberry, James Fowler, Kaitlyn (Matt) Mullins, Jared Pack, Nicholas Scarberry, Wesley Bryan (Stacy) Scarberry, and Marcy (Ethan) Johnson; and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Preston Scarberry Cemetery.

 

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Scarberry and his family.
